Poynette Panther Youth Wrestling Club

How to Register

Purchase your USA Wrestling card before signing up with the club, as your USAW ID number will be required in order to complete wrestler registration. USA Wrestling memberships are $60. Your wrestler will not be able to practice unless they have an active USA card - no exceptions.

After you have your card for your wrestler, sign up with the club and submit payment. Registration fee is $100. Families registering more than one child will receive a multi-child discount that will be automatically deducted at checkout. Registration scholarships are available; please contact us if you have questions about whether you qualify.

Equipment Rental

All wrestlers will receive a club competition singlet to borrow for tournament use. Additional equipment such as headgear and wrestling shoes are also available and will be loaned out on a first-come, first-serve basis. A security deposit of $100 per wrestler is required and is 100% refundable upon the return of any loaned equipment at the end of the season. Any wrestler may provide and wear their own headgear, wrestling shoes and singlet in lieu of borrowing from the club.

Waivers and Acknowledgements

Club Participation

Poynette Panther Youth Wrestling Club is a a fully volunteer led club. As such, we rely on the help of our families to ensure the club's success by requiring all families of children participating in the program to commit to a set amount of volunteer time. Parental/Guardian volunteers enable us to offer program and activities that would otherwise not be possible. Families will be asked to perform 8 hours of volunteer time per family in one year's time (September 1 - August 31). Single parent families will be asked to volunteer half this amount.

Families may choose to "opt out" of their volunteer commitment with a payout of $115. By opting out, the requirement to volunteer is waived and the family's responsibility is considered fulfilled.

To provide a more effective distribution and use of volunteer hours, we are asking that some of these hours be on specific activities:
>> Poynette Panther Pride Youth Tournament facilitation (set up, day-of events, takedown)
>> Practice preparation (cleaning/sanitizing mats and equipment before/after practice)
>> Community sponsorship solicitation
