Poynette Panther Youth Wrestling Club

Coach Jamie Pauli

Head Coach

Coach Jamie brings a deep passion for the sport of wrestling, combined with years of competitive and coaching experience. In this third year as head wrestling coach for the Poynette Panthers, Coach Jamie is committed to developing athletes both on and off the mat. He holds a USA Wrestling Copper Level Coach and Safe Sport certification.

A former high school wrestler, Coach Jamie has competed at State and has translated that success into a coaching career focused on discipline, hard work and continuous improvement. He believes wrestling is one of the best sports for challenging student athletes and is about more than competition – it’s a tool for promoting confidence, overcoming adversity, and cultivating personal growth.

When not on the mat, Coach Jamie and his family are active in several sports within the Poynette athletics community, and he further supports his community by serving on the School Board.

Coach Tim Bongle

Assistant Youth Coach - All Ages

Coach Tim is USA Wrestling Copper Level Certified and brings a deep love for wrestling to our youth program. A former collegiate wrestler for Concordia University and with over a decade of coaching experience, Coach Tim is dedicated to helping young athletes grow in confidence and strengthen their passion for the sport.

Working with wrestlers of all ages, Coach Tim focuses on creating a supportive environment where kids can learn the value of hard work, discipline and sportsmanship. His approach combines technical instruction with encouragement and accountability, helping each wrestler progress at their own pace while still being challenged to improve.

Coach Tim and his family are active members of Poynette athletics and can often be found cheering on the Pumas. When not coaching, he enjoys deer hunting and fishing.

Coach Matt McQueen

Assistant Youth Coach - Experienced (3rd grade - 8th grade)

Coach Matt is a USA Wrestling Copper Level Certified Coach and has been coaching youth wrestling for the Poynette Panthers for over 8 years. A former high school wrestler and letter winner, Matt brings a competitive yet fun approach to the mat.

Matt’s coaching philosophy centers around outworking the opponent. If you want to beat someone on the mat, you need to put in the extra effort and practice harder.

Matt and his family are active within the Poynette community and can be found either coaching or cheering for their kids at the field/park. In his free time he enjoys hunting, fishing and cheering for the Brewers.

Coach Jedd Wilson

Assistant Youth Coach - Beginners (4K - 2nd grade)

Coach Jedd is USA Wrestling Copper Level Certified and has instructed all levels of youth wrestling from 4K to 12th grade throughout his 7 years of coaching experience. A former collegiate wrestler at UW-Whitewater, Coach Jedd got his start in wrestling through our program! He wrestled as a Poynette Panther from 1st through 8th grade, then as a Poynette Puma for all four years in high school, qualifying for State 8 times.

Dedicated to helping young, beginner wrestlers build a solid foundation, Coach Jedd’s goal is to create a positive first experience for every wrestler who steps on the mat by emphasizing skill development over wins and losses. His calm, encouraging approach helps young wrestlers feel supported as they learn the fundamentals.

Coach Jedd reached a new level of passion for wrestling when his daughter started wrestling, getting to be “Coach” at practice and “Dad” once they step off the mat. When not coaching, he and his family can be found cheering for the Badgers or spending time outdoors.
